In 2012 I had the opportunity to design the website of London studio venturethree. The site had three very clear sections: work, news and about. The design tried to be as unobstruive as possible, something they've kept doing in their current website.
Their work was an archive made of thumbnails with filters; every thumbnail linked to a case study which looked big, bold and confident.
At that time (3 years ago), not many websites were responsive, something most people take for granted nowadays. This one was, and it was a huge learning curve knowing how things react in that digital environment.
